Question Bird cage additions

Has anyone removed the vinyl siding and shutters from inside the birdcage on the back patio and replaced with cement board to make a smooth wall? Did the smooth wall make it more attractive like a 'room' instead of the back of the house? Does it add value to the house?

I think you mean the lanai, a birdcage, typically has screen on all walls and the roof.

Yes, our neighbors did in Polo Ridge and it looks beautiful. It should add value and at least it would be incentive to purchase this house over another so it would sell faster IMHO.

We had KB Construction do ours, replaced the siding inside the Lanai with solid wall and had both sliders replaced, one with french doors and the other walled over completely. They did a great job and now it feels like a part of the house instead of a lanai.

Would your neighbors be willing for us to see their work they had done? We live in Liberty Park. Thanks.

No, I mean inside the bird cage on the patio outside the lanai.
