Default Spectrum Router 5.0

Updated our Spectrum Router, and now I can't hook up our smart plugs. It's looking for the setting 2.4 which this router doesn't have this as separated like the old router did.
Has anyone else had this concern, if so, how did you hook up your smart plugs?

One thing you can try is to move the smart plug as far away from the router as possible to see if it will connect to the network. The 2.4ghz band has a longer range than the 5ghz. Once connected, you can move it back.

A Google search provided lots of good information. I personally, have never see a wireless router without 2.4 GHz.

Do the smart plugs have a driver you can set to only 2.4?
