We have a small (6 x 12) glass enclosed rear porch in our summer place that was always hotter than hello in the summertime. My wife bought some light fabric and one by wood and made exterior curtains - we fastened them top and bottom (they are made to roll up but after a while we have just left them down). They look fine and keep the room cool and private.

There are many colors of outdoor curtains that can be brought together when privacy is needed and drawn apart when you want to have a more open feeling. One drawback is hanging the rod for the curtains to slide on.
Rod can probably be secured to your cage structure.

Any suggestions. Thanks.

We quoted T&D on their privacy screens for our lanai and it was something like $2,500 which was a bit high for us so we decided to use just the landscaping.
A couple of our neighbors had other ideas. One had motorized roll up blinds installed for around $1,000 while another went to Home Depot and bought a single manual roll up that he installed himself. Not sure of the cost on the manual roll up.

$2500 from T & D for privacy screens sounds very pricey. I think the lattice that Cateca suggested sounds like a good idea, and probably can be done inexpensively.
