Cool 18 year old Villages resident

I read into today's daily Sun of a young girl of the "VILLAGES" who was in a auto accident. Her age was listed as 18. I thought a person could NOT be a resident of the Villages if only 18 years old.

Perhaps one of the family "villages"?

there are 2 neighborhoods in The Villages that are especially for families of people who work in or around. Sometimes we forget that even though we are retired, there are people who work. And the Villages School system is very highly rated.

A little off of topic...but, my understanding is that the "family friendly" neighborhoods that are "in" the villages, are really not a part of the villages. I DO know that they are NOT allowed a resident pass. My brother wanted to purchase a home there (he is over 55). He wanted the home because they are allowed fences (he has 2 large dogs) and have larger yards....however, he found out that he could not get a resident pass.(his wife wanted activity accessibility)....so, they're still looking.

Not sure how much she "lives" in T.V.---my understanding is she's a college student and her parents are residents. She could list her "home" as here but actually be living on a college campus somewhere.

Villages of whatever, it is allowed in certain areas and still have a VILLAGES address. Therefore- a resident of the villages. Even if breaking the "rules"--who cares--how did her accident affect your entitlement?

Sad to hear of the accident...hope the young child is okay. Life is too short to worry what others are doing and not doing. What we all can focus on is our health, family and happiness-just my op.

Rules are rules.

And all rules are meant to be bent. Does it really matter that the child is 18 and lives in TV?

One of the things that makes TV what it is is rules. We all have an obligation to see that they are enforced. We all agreed to this when we signed for a deed at closing.

Sorry but all I hear is blah blah blah blah blah. Rules often go too far and are more than worth breaking or at least bending sometimes. If it's life important or illegal, it's one thing but a child residing in TV is hardly earth shattering.

Village of Bison Valley: "Bison Valley is a family oriented neighborhood located close to shopping, dining, schools, and more. The friendly streets are lined with well built homes made of either wood frame or block and stucco construction. In addition to being close to all the amenities you need and enjoy everyday – those same destinations are available by golf car!"

There's a Gardenia available there for $299,000 VLS#214243
I bet the address of this property is The Villages.

It wasn't stated that this 18 year old was trying to break any rules or was entitled to use the amenities of The Villages. I think the OP's question was answered...with at least two possibilities. I hope she has a speedy recovery from any injuries incurred from the accident.

What I have read the villages has three family Villages. Bison Valley, Spring Harbor, and Oak Forest?? Which I think located close to the school north side of 466 (if I got my directions straight?) I would imagine there lots of minors in these villages in the villages. So I would it's safe to say she is village resident. I also think no one is getting amenities for free that I am aware of? So what's the Beef!?

I hope the child is OK that's the main thing here. As for her address saying she's from TV, if she's going to College she's home when school is NOT in session, and her Drivers license lists her address as TV. I'm sure she's still under her parents insurance which would also say TV. She maybe turning 19 real soon before summer break which would make her legal. There maybe a special arrangement made which is allowed with TV managements permission or she could live in the Family section which is also listed as TV. So lets not get our panties in a bunch. Just hope the young lady is OK and that's all that counts. JMO
