Please be aware when booking a caterer that you will not get your deposit back if you cancel. As a small group, we had a $250 deposit down for a Christmas party....made previous to Covid. There are not enough people in our group willing to attend this event. We will lose our deposit. They will not apply it to a rescheduled date. We are not a large group that maybe has the extra money to lose. This will affect our future events. I think it’s sad that thru no fault of our own due to a pandemic, we have no options. I get they’re running a business in which many may cancel, but I don’t understand not applying this toward another event. We attempted to cancel this almost 2 months before the event. If you’re booking a holiday party, you may want to sell your tickets ahead of time with a no refund. Otherwise, you could be in the hook for even more money.
