I'm still trying to figure out if we are Sanibelleans, Sanibellites, Sanibellers, Sanibelicans, or just the Sanibels. Personally, I like the Insanibels. Welcome to Sanibel from a fellow Insanibel.

To all who wished us well with our home purchase in Sanibel...thank you very much. We fell in love with TV during our first lifestyle preview visit in 2006. Every Saturday since then I keep telling Kathy "We're 1 week closer." That 4-word sentence began 300+ weeks ago. Talk about forward visualizing!

We are so, so happy. TV is going to be our Retirement Paradise as frogs. We're anxious to meet ALL the nice people here (well, maybe just most or some!). Would be difficult remembering 100,000 names. The people we've met so far are so friendly, so quickly. They must drink the same beverage here.

Congrats. I don't know how I missed this post.

Congratulations on your new home. We are also from Ohio, and have a home in
Sanibel. Just snowflakes right now until we sell our business. Home is sold so just 1hurdle to go!

We're headed back to OH today. There will be lots on our minds between now and closing date in mid-February, and then from closing to TV move-in date.

Got to get rid of extra "stuff" we really don't need in the move to the next chapters of our lives...in TV.

We checked into getting TV house insurance, called the electric company, looked at furniture, met with our TV counselor Graciegirl, and had dinner last night with some hometown friends, now living in Poinciana.

The time has zipped by so fast on this short, home-buying trip to TV.

We'll soon address the popular question of should we buy a gas vs. electric golf cart. That should be fun <g>!

We'll be living in Sanibel, near Captiva Rec. Ctr. (a short hop to Colony Plaza).

We left the Orlando airport today at 5 pm, and arrived in Cincinnati around 7 or so. Heck, it wasn't 4 or 5 degrees when we arrived. It was way up to 13 <g>!

Anyway, we had one productive home-buying trip to TV. We are so excited about becoming TV frogs in May or June 2013. We'll be writing here, asking several questions. Hope that's OK.

Gene & Kathy, Congratulations -- your transition to froghood is only a few months away. Last winter in the north -- how exciting for you. Hope the next few months speed by. I will tell my younger sister who lives near CVG that she will have a bit more room in her area in a few months.

Gene and Kathy, Congratulations! I am sure it is such an exciting time for you both. We also have a home in 178 , but are snowflakes right now. We are in upstate New York and it is cold here too. We may very likely live very close to each other. Hope to meet you soon. Best wishes for many happy and healthy years in TV.

Our family is so happy that Gene and Kathy will be here all of the time. We met through this forum several years ago when Gene contacted me and we all got together in Cincinnati. We have grown to know them very well and to love them just as much.

Both Gene and Kathy are leaving very successful careers behind them for a wonderful new adventure.

I know that when you meet them you will find them to be genuine and upbeat and terrific people. It is a win-win for all of us.

Welcome HOME, Gene and Kathy.

Sanibel section 178 is called Sanibel Islanders. We are a very social group. What street is your new house. Avondale????? We saw that there is a pending sign in the window. Is this going to be your new house??? You will love the neighborhood!!!!! I live on Raven Croft Terrace, one street over.
Send me your email address and I will get you added on to the social list.

Welcome!!!

Yes, we bought on Avondale. It will be no long drive to Captiva Rec. Center for us! <g>.
