Another lightning hit in Village of Lynnhaven about 1:30 pm. A person in a vehicle going down the street reported afterward that they saw a bolt of lightning then a fire ball going down the street. It hit a palm tree in a driveway of a home and knocked out various appliances, TV's, computers, and watering systems, in the 6 surrounding houses. Each house had different types of electrical and cable damage, with varying degrees. Seems like after it hit the palm it went through the irrigation system, underground electric and cable wiring.

I thought that too but my neighbor had Century Link Prism here in Lynnhaven and due to a Saturday lightning strike at about 8:10 P.M. June 7, 2014, their internet and TVs both went out. They could not get it back until yesterday, June 11, 2014, after Century Link had spent days try to fix it. They had to trace the whole cable connections to find the defective part. Neighbor's cell phones were fried too. They were in their charging units.
