Default Bug Spraying

Just got back from a Pinellas neighborhood barbecue and one of the topics we discussed was how bad the bugs have been lately. We talked about the fact that there has not been any neighborhood spraying and we wondered why? We all complained that we can't be outside at dusk because we are getting bit so much - we all shared our bug bites on our legs and arms. And, as if on cue, the biters came out like crazy and all of us got up and got our stuff together to leave. What a shame. We all would have liked to stay and visited for a bit longer. Is anyone aware why the spraying has not started?

I do not know about the southern end but there are no mosquitoes by
Lake Sumter Landing! I was out there at sunser (right by the water) and no mosquitoes at all. If there were to be mosquitoes, it would be there.

I was at Tavares a week ago at an outdoor restaurant and right at subset, the mosquitoes came charging out and they were hungry! Takes a lot of fun away when being bitten up, doesn't it?

I'm pretty sure The Villages has some type of spray schedule to combat these pests.

Society garlic. Line your sidewalks and driveway. I admit it is an aroma you learn to love.

Sumter county has a department that does the spraying.
