Default building in TV in today's market

We are thinking of having our designer house built. Our villages realtor e-mailed us pictures of several lots she thought we might be interested in. They are in the Village of Amelia. There are no houses at all around these lots and we are scared that we will be out there alone for years. Is this a realistic fear considering the slow housing market?

Bobo,

No need to worry...once TV starts building a neighborhood, the whole area is complete within 4-6 months.

Good answer, 07, but didn't you love the crispness of Livsea's answer? Livesea, I just have to ask... are you from New Hampshire?

Our sales agent told us that after a short period of time the developer will fill in all remaining unsold lots on the street with spec homes. She showed us one of the streets with new houses on it where the developer already had homes under construction on all the remaining lots. That prevents a street from being under construction for a long time or taking years to build out all the lots.
