Default Bullfrog Spa - PM Filter Cycles Don't Work

Bought a Bullfrog A6 spa from the old T & D store on Parr drive. It's almost 1 year old. Last fall the store, looking at a water sample, told me I had to up the filter time. I noticed the spa had 2 watercare cycles for an hour at 8 AM and 8 PM. I increased it to 2 hours for each cycle.

But, what I realized was the 8 PM cycle never turned on. The 8 AM cycle worked fine. Started playing around with the times and found 6 PM worked although wasn't sure it stayed on for the two full hours.

Called Patriot pool; tech came out and thought the pump was overheating. I wasn't around when he came so was unable to explain what the issue was. I was certain it wasn't a pump issue. Pump came in a month later and they replaced it. Still has the problem. Tech came back; talked to Bullfrog and they said order a new controller.

Two weeks later, tech comes back, replaces the controller. Still has the problem. Nothing else to replace.

This has to be a common problem among this spa series. Anyone out there have this same spa? Will it do an eight PM filter cycle?

NOTE: When the spa is doing a filter cycle, there is a message displayed on the front panel, Filtering is active. This is different from the spa's hourly 5 minute water cycle.

Also, changed filter cycle to 6 PM and it turns on at 6 but only runs for an hour. Set to run for 2 hours.

I do not have this type of spa, but have you tried an internet search to see if others have found a solution?

Yes, I searched and didn't find anything. Asked the tech to go to the store to see if the store models exhibit the same thing.

Thanks

Just had a thought does your spa have both 12 hour and 24 hour display, if so is it possible that you are using the 12 hour display and setting the time only in the am (or PM)?

I thought about that also. But, 5:30 PM and 6 PM start times will start a filter cycle but either time ends at 7 PM. Seems like, a software issue to me.

Thanks
