My wife & I were on Odell near the Amelia mail stop yesterday when the first sheriffs car went quickly past us. Within seconds six more marked and unmarked sheriffs cars had converged on the area. Some went down to Inner Circle while others went to the other side of Odell. Suspected what was going on when the K9 officer went by us. Last ten days to two weeks we have noticed an increase in unmarked sheriffs cars in the Hadley area. Glad they caught these guys.

This situation underlines the benefit of Community Watch, and Neighborhood Watch. The pest control guy should get recognition for his alertness and good deed , of course unless he desires to remain unrecognized? His action do set good example

Is anyone else wondering about what we thought to be true about these cases - that there was a woman seen in a white sedan? Was the one suspect with the long curly hair mistaken as a woman? Was there a woman associated with these two who was "taking the day off"? Or, could it be that there is another band of crooks (with a woman member) still at large?

I bet the dectectives down at Sumter County Sheriff's office have already thought of all these scenarios.
You don't really think someone on TOTV could actulally answer these questions, do you?

Slightly off topic. I haven't been on this forum very long, but it appears there is a common thread with the break ins and that is jewelry. Do the intruders have inside information that there is jewelry in the property? How many break ins have occurred where jewelry was not involved? Do they break in and assume most houses will have cash and/or jewelry?

If they know there is cash or jewelry and I lived in the house, it would not be in a location that was known to anyone. If you go to a foreign country you know to leave your good jewelry at home. As much as we love our good jewelry, is that an open invitation for someone to figure out where you live, and pay a visit when you aren't home?

No concrete answers to any of these questions. Simply my random thoughts.

If threads were limited to just topics that can be answered with authority, TOTV would have been out of business long ago. It's called a discussion forum for a purpose and people who belittle other's attempt to do so serve no positive value.

Although we did not sign up for the reverse 911 call we received, it was greatly appreciated. We commend the law enforcement involved and especially the pest control person who was looking out for us all. A neighbor mentioned the person works for Massey but this is unconfirmed.

There's a club for everything else, why not a rewards club for acts that assist in the arrest of criminals?

According to the online newspaper he worked for Fertigator. Please see the "Two more Burglaries" thread. It gives detail information.
