Do we need a real estate attorney or can we handle the sale through a title company?

I agree----I used Advantage Title on 466 when I sold my last Villa. Some like the status of an attorney and sometimes in a real estate deal I would want an attorney but not necessary in TV.

Advantage Title will do all the paperwork including the contract, hold escrow funds, etc.

Tri County Title will prepare the contract, hold the escrow deposit and do the complete closing which includes the title search, all documents and recordings.

We used TriCounty last year to sell our patio villa and buy our home in Sanibel from owner. They were great to work with. Would highly recommend them.

Nah ... Why get an attorney? You're just making a major purchase and signing a bunch of legal documents you (probably) don't understand.
UNLESS someone made a 'slight' error. OOPS. Not a lawyer and also never have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. |

Thank you everyone -we went with Tri-County. They are great. We are closing on a house in Liberty Park at the end of September.
