First why timeline of 10 days.
Water every day is also not good and can cause fungal issues and draw bugs you don’t want. Put tuna cans in couple places in your yard. You want a one inch water. It better to water once deeply than 7 days a week. |

If you water it, your grass will definitely come back.
It appears you have the good fortune to have Empire Zoysia and not that ugly St. Augustine. Both types of grass spread by 'runners', but Zoysia has deeper runners that do not die during a drought. Just water it every couple days and it will be fine. |

Better than some golf courses
And for the same reason - poor/no care.

It will come back. Just water each zone for 1 hour every other day and it will bounce back quickly. Also, it’s best if you water 30 minutes each zone, let it soak in and do the next 30 minutes. This will help the water penetrate on the roots instead of just running off the hard dry soil.

Rain is coming today and Wednesday, so no need to water beyond a normal schedule. Sumter County schedule can be found here: Irrigation Schedules | TheVillagesWaterWisdom
