Recently there was a lot of discussion concerning some car dealerships charging a premium Over sticker price due to shortages of cars. Now i'm hearing that Golf Carts are going up in price especially the ones from China like the Atomic Carts due to shipping increases. Do you think this is the new "normal"? We could wait a couple of months to see if things get better but they might get worse. Any thoughs?

We just move here to the Villages and the Golf Cart was the last purchase on the list.

It's going to take over a year to unwind the supply chain mess, but once it does prices will come down.............not to pre-mess prices, but down from where they are today.

It'll take a while for supply to catch up with demand. TV Golf Carts has no rentals because they were all loaned out to people who bought and are waiting months and months for delivery.

Used carts are snapped up in days (if not hours)...

My advice? If you see a nice used cart, be prepared to make a cash offer ASAP!

We missed on several used carts this past Summer before finally finding one that fit the bill. Now, older carts are going for close to $1000 more than we paid for our cream puff...

I have a 2011 Yamaha battery cart w/8 dead batteries. Curtis cab and custom seat. I have a neighbor that would like to buy. Made an offer for $2,500. What value should I be able to get?

I had to go to Autonation in Clearwater for a car and get away from Ocala and Leesburg to buy a car without additional dealer profit added to MSRP.
Was well worth the drive to save $3,000 to $4,000 they were adding to cars.

Like most things to buy or to wait and it will, it might go down, it is a matter of OPINION.

The first IMPORTANT question is do you need a car or a golf cart? Possible reason, don't have one now, accident, worn out etc.

Endless news about inflation. Will it stop, slow down? Again a matter of opinion.
If, I knew the answers my phone would be ringing off the hook for advice. I have to cut this short WARREN BUFFET is calling ME for my OPINION.

As far as the mentioned Atomic Golf carts I do not know much about them. You need to ask about whether you can use them on the golf courses. Parts availability, service availability etc. A major selling point is that they have air conditioning. They are battery powered. AC requires a lot of power so running the AC will cut back on the range on a charge.

We have a Yamaha EFI that is 9 years old and use it full time. So far so good. Teasing a bit. A used golf cart listed as used by a little old lady. Average age in the villages is 70.

My opinion. A used car, golf cart or mostly anything. You have decided to sell it. You want to be rid of it. If, you sell it to a neighbor, you are not rid of it.

More money in the economy (more printed) and no extra goods produced is the definition of inflation.

Shade this as 'supply chain issues' if this makes you feel better. It is inflation. Did you know, in inflation adjusted dollars, the US has spent more on COVID than all costs of WWII?

We try to understand inflation. When, we bought our previous home about 1974 and tried to decide what to put in as a down payment. I put down what my parents paid for a house roughly twice a large in 1967. Our house, we sold it for 6x what we paid for it.

I have in my garage ONE POUND coffee cans great for screws etc and they are marked ninety-nine cents today that pound of coffee is 11 ounces and it is like four dollars.

Our specie, gold and silver, backed dollar is gone. You dollar is now backed by the full faith and credit of the United States. That too seems to be losing value.

I've asked before. Besides me is anyone wondering who/what knows and compares the cost of each of the available vaccines? For that matter in what country each company pays taxes?

Printed money. Only a small percentage of the numbers we toss about Trillions, billions etc are even printed. Most is simply computer notes. Spooked, I seem to be one of the few that admit I cannot comprehend billions let alone trillions.
