Default Can you identify this man?

This morning around 11 AM my dog and I were attacked at the Mulberry Dog Park by the dog in the picture below. The dog bit my hand and broke the skin in five places.

The cowardly owner just walked out of the park to a golf cart that was driven by another man. The owner and equally nasty friend tried to drive off without giving me any information about the dog or himself. However they were photo captured by witnesses. The cart is a Grayish Yellow (NYS4) Yamaha with the names Janice and Jack on the front.

If anyone can please provide me with any additional information on these two men it would be appreciated. I am told that if I need medical attention I will need to file a police report and they will want the owners information.

You can Private Message me through the TOV site.

Thank you.

exactly

shameful that an adult would just walk away after they saw their dog do something like that

a thorough washing with soap and water should suffice, but keep an eye on it

chock it up as one more reason that there are more horse's asses than there are horses

You should contact a doctor to ask about the proper treatment for an animal bite. Be sure to mention that you know nothing about the dog.

You’re right—the OP has no way of knowing whether the dog is current on its shots.

This is a terrible situation. That dog owner is irresponsible. How can he just walk away from this incident?

I wish I recognized these people, and hope someone else does. Maybe also post on NextDoor? Are you also supposed to file a police report? I don’t know.

So sorry this happened to you. Was it a dog fight that you stepped into, or did the lab just come running over and attack...which is odd for a lab, but of course possible.
Some people do not realize that the calmest dog will react in a dog park if either/both still have their leads on...dont know why, but they will, growls, snare or even fight.
I dont think you will have any trouble finding this person with the great photos and details. Did he deny or just drive away.
Best of luck concluding this issue and good luck with the hand.

Facial recognition via the police might identify the guy

Filing a police report seem appropriate to document the incident.

I expect you will be able to identify this lowlife cretin. You have a picture, the cart, the names on the cart, and a general location and a picture of the dog. He will have neighbors that will know who he is, and given the type of person who would run away from this incident, I'm pretty sure he has PO'ed a few of them enough that they would be happy to turn him in. I hope I'm right.

Mulberry Dog Park - The Villages, FL - AARP

Sorry that happened to you. I have some friends who go to the field near Mulberry Dog Park with their two dogs. Maybe they will recognize this man and his dog.

above all else, the most important thing to find out is if this dog had his shots/rabies vax.

I'm pretty sure the dog isn't rabid but you don't want to take a chance. If rabies shots are administered quickly an individual will be safe but if it is allowed to progress there is only one outcome, death. Call the police/sheriff and contact the local health department, this owner and dog need to be found and the dog tested.
