Default Cancer Came and Gone

I want to use this space if I may to announce that my wife of 58 years was given the great news that her colon cancer is completely gone.

Major operation to remove a tumor the size of a football on her colon per her surgeon.

Six months of Chemo treatment at the Ocala Cancer Center seems to work, and now she's working on getting her life back.

Prayers do work.

Last Summer I went to the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa for some surgery and their staff treated me very well. I asked the Physican's Assistant if she enjoyed her job and she gave a very strong Yes.

She said she had read the book "Emperor of All Maladies" by Siddhartha Mukherjee and it had really motivated her. The book is sub-titled 'A Biography of Cancer' and I very much enjoyed reading it.

Using the book as a guide, Ken Burns did a three-part miniseries on PBS about cancer treatment. We bought it and thoroughly enjoyed watching it.
