Default Car Oil Change

The other day I went to Tire Kingdom on 441/27 near Khols because they were advertising oil changes for $13.90. I found their real mission is to get you in the shop and then try and sell you services not needed or you do not want. Plus the oil change took over 1.5 hours because they did not have the filter for my car. I overheard conversations they had with other customers where they were trying to convince the customer service needed to be done to the car that was probably not correct. I know they offered to clean the throttle body of my car caused by oil blow by. I declined and said I would take the car to a dealer for the oil problem. The car has fuel injection and they showed me a picture of a carborator. So beware.

Truthfully, I have never had an iol change done here that they didn't try to talk me into something that I don't need. My cure....have my son do my oil changes. However, now that he is older and doesn't really want to do them anymore...does any one get oil changes with a company they can really trust??? I would love to know where I can go.

That's how ALL the inexpensive oil change places have to work. They're losing money - or barely breaking even - on oil changes in hopes of getting more business from you in some other area to help make a profit for the business.

Try Vaughn at Lady Lake Quality Tire near Hwy. 441 & 466. This is a great place for tires, brakes, oil changes, etc. Very resonable and HONEST.

Try Walmart on 466 - they only do oil changes and tires so they won't try and sell you anything else - of course you'll probably wander around the store and buy other stuff while you are waiting!

If you have a relatively new car, you might try getting your oil change there. They are usually reputable and do not charge much more than an outside service center. Best of all you can trust them.

Took a flat tire to XXXX XXXXXX to be plugged. But they said the hole on bottom was "too big" to fix...They said I had to replace the tire for $236... AND ..I needed a throttle body cleaning for about $100. SO I took SAME tire to Vaughn. Vaughn fixed the tire. Asked Vaughn about the need of a throttle body cleaning. Vaughn just laughed and said " Your car has 16,000 miles and is a year old" ...you MIGHT need the cleaning at 60,000 miles but most certainly not yet. BY THE WAY while I was waiting to pay Vaughn he was on the phone with a local church to let them know he had a LIKE NEW set of 4 used tires for the Church Van and he said..... "As always.., there will be no $ charge, just want to help with the good works you do for our at-risk children". I told him he must have been raised by some mighty good people. His response was .."10 per cent to the Lord won't make a difference to me or you... BUT.. it sure will make a BIG difference to those in need". NUFF SAID.
