Default Car rental

Has anyone rented a car to go to the airport, and on return, rented a car at the airport to return back to TV? I haven't been to Enterprise yet, but wondered before I do if anyone has done that and the cost. I thought it might be less expensive and more convenient for 2 or more people than the shuttle.

there's another thread here on the topic, do a search on "enterprise" and you should find it, but yes, it's quite ~thrifty~ to use enterprise

On our last visit to our home in TV in June, we paid $23 including taxes to Enterprise for a rental from Orlando International to TV, and after bringing the car to the Enterprise office in LSL the following morning, they drove us back to our house. Very accommodating. What was interesting, though, was that the return rental would have been $53--more than double! In the end friends drove us (thanks again, Kathie and Donna!), so we were able to cancel the rental, but isn't that strange? Apparently it depends on where the rental originates....

Just to confirm what SL posted, I had called Enterprize about a one-way rental from TV to Orlando International last month. I was advised there was a $50 surcharge for this rental. No surcharge for Hertz, who I'm using.

Is there a Hertz or AVIS location near the Villages? I can get either of them cheap so may be a better option than Enterprize. I just did not look for them. My mistake I guess. Enterprize is great as they drive you home on the return to the LSL location. But they are a le expensive going back to the AP.

Same has happened to us - cheaper to rent from Orlando to TV than the return. It is about a push cost wise for two people but you get the car for 24 hours. The Enterprise rental center is about a 15 minute drive from Orlando airport.
