Default Careful folks, you may be lowering your property values

I am going to cancel my LSV in April because of the things I read on TOTV.
After the many post complaing of overcrowding, I ask myself who needs it?
Are the people living in The Villages so uneducated they can't manage to get thru a roundabout/rotary safely?
Are they so self centered they won't clean up after thier dog?
I can't believe how rude people can be. "Seabreeze Pool Question" thread and all the "saving seats" threads pretty much sums it up for me.

OK, so here is one more person you won't have to put up with, me. Good for you!

I won't be buying your house either. For your sake, I hope there aren't many more like me.

There are 90,000 plus residents living in The Villages. I am surprised that you would allow a few people influence you. Have you actually spent time in The Villages? If you have not I encourage you to so you will see for yourself that there is not a better place to live in my opinion. Best of luck to you.

No, just a day, never spent any time there.

I live in some pretty nice places now.

Fumar, I love your attitude !

George Gobel once asked the question, did you ever look at the world as being a tuxedo and you were a pair of brown shoes?

I was born in the greatest and most vibrant city on the face of the earth. If you talk to many people there, you could hear about rude busy people, and too much trash, and too much crime, and arrogant police, and......if you never spent any time there and just listened to that, you would miss all that was great and wonderful about New York City.

So, you don't come and visit...........The Villages loses nothing......you, on the other hand...................

It's been 14 months since we bought our Gardenia, and according to Zillow the estimated value has gone up by $25,000. I for one wouldn't worry too much about the value of our property going down anywhere in the foreseeable future. Sorry TF, that you're so easily discouraged that you're willing to take the word of a relatively few about TV over learning how TV is for yourself. On the positive side, your canceling of your LSV will at least create an opening for someone else who truly wants to find out what TV's really like for themselves!

3776 homes sold in TV last 12 months. 2325 new, 1451 pre-owned. We bought 3 years ago and the prices have gone up since then. Where in the country can compare?

A little off topic, but where can I find comps on those 3700 homes, zillow isn't reporting much.

Good luck with your retirement, wherever you decide to spend it. You'll be hard pressed to find a community with the beauty, amenities, cleanliness and ambiance of The Villages. IMHO, the Developers were true visionaries.
