Default Carpet

I've read that carpet may not be the best choice for Florida due to the heat.

Do many of you just have carpet in the bedrooms or not at all?

We have carpet except in the kitchen and bathrooms. Easy on your feet and softer if you fall.

Carpet in the bedrooms, made the mistake of using the original construction grade carpet, should have upgraded when we had the house built. NOTE: the carpet keeps the noise down, and I really like it quiet when I go to sleep.

Also, no bugs, etc., we have a cleaning service, once per month, and occasionally I will run our vacuum over the carpet. We even had a water event before we moved in, and NO lasting damage.

Carpet in bedrooms and we had vinyl plank flooring put down over our existing tile. Softer to walk on and no grout lines to clean...
