The last I read was they expect to be "substantially" completed on Dec. 5th. I like that word. It gives them an out when they aren't done by sometime in January. They'll be "substantially" finished.

That obviously ain't gonna happen. A lot of it is still being worked on and there are many detours still in effect.

I know, each time I venture out that way I remind my wife of the original date. Truthfully I would be surprised if it was not completely done till sometime in the spring. But I will say, what they finished is great and should ahve been done sooner!

We just moved here in June. I thought they were doing it to welcome us.

Seriously, When we first moved and started using the old paths, I started questioning our decision to purchase in this area. They were so bouncy and narrow that we routed most of our trips through neighborhoods.

Default Cart Path Progression From TV

Dear Subscribers:

The closures and the detours for the week of November 29th are primarily unchanged from last week so this notice will serve as only a reminder of the current work locations. Now that we are entering the final stretch on the project, construction activity is very hectic and you may encounter delays/detours without prior notice. Please be patient and adjust travel times to allow for unexpected delays.

El Camino Real

The new path from the Savannah Center to Buenos Aires is now open.

I have been receiving a number of questions regarding the tunnel under El Camino Real at Freedom Pointe. This tunnel is open and accessible beyond the Buenos Aires intersection. There is a temporary path next to the retaining wall by the Freedom Pointe parking garage that allows carts go around the construction area to the new, two-way tunnel entrance.

The cart path from Buenos Aires (Freedom Pointe) to the Morse Blvd circle is closed. The detour will be Cazaras Ave to Madero Drive to Morse Blvd. Travelers will still be able to travel beyond Madero Drive on Morse Blvd to reach Spanish Springs and the hospital; however, the El Camino Real path will be closed at the circle.

Buena Vista Boulevard, District #4 (Marion County)

The Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) and detour for the path on the east side of Buena Vista at the Nancy Lopez Legacy Country Club is now in effect. The detour will be through the Country Club property over to Legacy Lane. The tunnel will remain open.

The path between Legacy Lane and Belle Meade is closed.

Both the east and the west side of the Buena Vista Boulevard path between the Piedmont/Springdale tunnel and Belle Meade Circle is closed. This includes closure of the Piedmont/Springdale tunnel for the duration of this portion of the project. All east/west travel in Marion County must utilize either the Lopez tunnel or the Mulberry tunnel to cross Buena Vista Boulevard.

The path from Belle Meade Circle to Talley Ridge Drive at Belle Aire is open.

Buena Vista Boulevard, District #3

The segment of path between Talley Ridge Drive at Belle Aire and Glenview Country Club is open.

The path from the Buena Vista Boulevard tunnel at Savannah south to Glenbrook (Talley Ridge Drive) is closed. All traffic traveling east or west (to or from El Camino Real) will have to use the Glenview Country Club detour.

The path around the Cottages of Summerchase and the Buena Vista Summerchase/Harmeswood tunnel will be closed for several weeks.

The Buena Vista path between Talley Ridge Drive at Glenbrook down to Southern Trace is closed. The primary detour will be Talley Ridge Drive, to Oak Forest Drive, to Southern Trace.

Paradise Park

The path between the monument wall and the Medical Gate is closed. Therefore, carts exiting the bridge must turn left and detour through the Park area to Paradise Drive and use Aloha Way to go around the lake to the residential and commercial areas normally accessed through the Medical Gate.

The path on the west side of the 441/27 Bridge is now under construction. The detour around this area will be through the commercial parking lot to Paige Place.

Morse Boulevard

· On Wednesday morning, demolition will begin on the segment of path between the Hacienda Hills tunnel and the path between the ponds. Traffic will be detoured onto Morse Blvd while this work is taking place.

· On Wednesday, December 1st, night work around the tunnel will begin at approximately 8:00pm. The tunnel will not be closed, however, there may be slight delays or traffic may be temporarily routed around the work area.

Detour maps are available at http://www.districtgov.org/projects/multi-modal.aspx . As always, please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions.

Sincerely,
