Took the cut through earlier today. A much easier way to get between Laurel Manor and Palmer than navigating Buena Vista. Learn something new every day.

I don't think it's due to expansion of TV. That cut thru is pretty far north. I would wager that not too many people south of 44 would travel that far nort via golf cart...

Oh, wait... Was that bashing those south of 44?
I travel to go to all the fine course by cart from Linden. Nice ride except for the small one way tunnel. Cheers

Why not? One whiner wants to change the direction of 54,000 carts/month.

Think about the houses on the cart path going around Turtle Mound golf course. They have lots of cart traffic. That guy has nothing to complain about

Not only does the app direct you that way, there’s a villages sign directing traffic to Laurel to go that way…

Does he have a valid complaint? Or is it a case of high season, expansion of The Villages, & general increase in cart traffic?

When we moved here in 2005, most carts were electric and produced very little noise. With the expansion of the villages, gas carts became popular (we switched to gas). I’ve often wondered about those living in those homes with “no houses behind” if they still like their choices.

What a joke
People buy a house next to something they don’t like and wine and complaining about it
If you don’t like where you’re buying move
You can get some good deals next to the turnpike 😆
My comment yesterday was removed. I hope this one is nicer and acceptable to TOTV 😆😆😆

Really? Complaining about cart traffic in an area developed for golf carts? Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning

Wow, I'll bet the person that opened this can of worms is sorry they posted their complaint!
The responses offer little to no sympathy and made even more people aware of the shortcut...OOPS!!
Full disclosure: I use that path regularly myself.

And let's add some more irony to his whining:

Look at google maps----if you live in the area between Laurel Manor and Palmer east of BV, there are only 3 ways to get to the MMP---the cart ROW off Laurel Lane, which he is whining about, the ROW just north of Cherry Hill #1 green to Winthrop Terr. between 2 houses, and the south end cul-de-sac ROW of Winifred Way between 2 houses leading past the first tee of Cherry Hill. It looks like there are 5-600 homes in that area, so if they closed off HIS cut through, it would force all his "neighbors" to use one of the other two, increasing THEIR cart traffic.

Like a good neighbor, the whiner is NOT there.

I'll bet they sold and purchased a home with a kissing lanai near the turnpike.
