Hi, the attached pic, I think, is a typical a ceiling fan for 2000ish villas.
Can this one accommodate a light kit? Have you find a light kit for this at Home Depot or Amazon? Happy New Year! |

This looks like my fan (house built in 2014). I went to Lowes (I think), bought 3 light kits and easily installed them. When my house was built, they used 3-wire from the switch to the fan so I was able to buy a double switch which allowed my to control fan or light separately at the switch. FWIW

This one is a little different, usually there are 3 screws at the base of the fan that release the bottom cover plate, then the light kit can be attached with the same 3 screws.

What make and model is the fan? I am most familiar with Hunter fans and have never come across one that doesn’t have a compatible light kit. You can typically go to the website of the fan manufacturer and look up compatible light kits for your particular model.
