Default New Vs. Pre Owned A Different Perspective

No bias here and this subject has lots of mileage but usually ends up with a financial analysis. This is a different point of view:

Decision Time - YouTube

I will edit this to get to the chase scene - go towards the 3/4 point of the video. The $64000 question how much is time and stress worth as a senior ?

The house I grew up in was built in 1865.
My mom moved to a different house built in 1857 and I spent a year there after college and visited there for 25 years before she moved to TV.
The house my wife and I have lived in the past 25 years was built in 1949 although we did 2 additions to this one.

The first TV house we bought was built in 1992, the second 1998. Two built after I was born, I must be moving up .

Every house has quirks and issues and you make it your own. Pretty soon that new house is 3 years old, are you going to turn the lease in for a new one?

I'd much rather move into a shed and enjoy my retirement than to wait a year just because it's new. New is nice I suppose, but it's just things. Things come and go, get older and break.

Our decision was easy, we wanted to live close to lots of Championship golf, have mature landscaping, and no bond.
