Villages area, that's about 35 square miles, you could put the name of your village in the location in the box above, or even better yet, include in your post. Century Link working fine in Tamarind Grove.

Ours was out most of the day in Hacienda. Pretty pathetic response time. I can see why they have the reputation they do in The Villages. I also have CenturyLink at my northern home with faster speeds, lower prices, and better service. They suck in Florida.

Thanks was wondering what was going on. In the village of Sunset Pointe kept saying server you are trying to reach unavailable and I was only trying to read a book from the library I had already downloaded.

I think a lot depends on where you are in TV. I've had Century Link 9 years this July, we have fiber optic since the beginning and 80mpbs and pay $49 for life and have had only one outage in all that time, and that caused by a lightning strike and was repaired within 2 hours. The only company that has a bad reputation is Comcast, they are voted worst customer service in America, not just here, but everywhere, I had them up north and dropped them in 2008.

I have had CenturyLink internet via fiber optic to the house for 6 years and I can only remember a few brief outages (scheduled maintenance around 2AM), and none within the last couple of years. They have been very reliable.

You are right John, if you have fiber optic they are good. Was in Buttonwood with fiber optic and had 80mbps moved to Sunset Pointe only a short distance away and have dsl at best 20mbps.
