Default Chalking on Vinal

Had my house power washed by a reputable company recently. My house has gray vinyl siding. After they finished I checked it out and the house looked pretty good with the exception of the back which gets lots of sun. I found the back to be all streaky white and gray spots. I called the company and they said it was due to chalking caused by sun exposure to the vinyl. They cleaned it again and it turned out the same. They did it again with just a garden hose and brushing it. It is better but there are still many spots of white. If I rub my hand over it there is no more chalk. Has anyone seen this after having house washed? is it really a chalking problem or could they have done something to the house while cleaning it like to much bleach in the sun? My house is 5 years old and hard to believe the siding has been damaged by sun this soon. Not sure what to do now and open to all suggestions. Thank you!

I am always surprised when some individuals reply to a question without an answer..absolute nonsense.

I did Google your concern and would suggest you do the same, it could be the solution used on the Power Washing

Next..Check the manufacturer of the Vinyl, and the Warranty Dept in The Villages.

The mere fact that the Vinyl is only 5 years old suggest that there is a problem with the Power Washing or the Quality of the Vinyl...

Next phone call...The Villages Warranty Dept. express your concern to them and ask for some guidance.

Up north I had installed "Clay" colored siding made by Certainteed. Within 4 years, the south side took on the faded chaulky appearance.
I contacted Certainteed, and they were aware of the problem and replaced the entire siding for the whole house, labor included.
If your problem is on, all sides, I would suspect the wash. If it's isolated to the sunny sides, I would suspect faulty siding.
