Default Charity donation

I have a hospital (motorized) twin sized bed that I would like to donate to a charity. Neither Habitat nor Goodwill will accept it.
It is in good condition. Does anyone know of a local charity that might take it?

You could call or email The VHA Helping Hands and ask :

Our Phone Number - Service Information - Basic Inventory - The VHA

Try calling those medical rental places. You can google for them in this area. Not sure if they buy or not but worth a try.

The American Legion of Lady Lake may be interested.

If you are willing to give up the tax deduction from donating to a non-profit and just want to get rid of it, you could list it on Craigslist under For Sale/Free. You will probably find someone who is willing to take it off your hands. Just FYI.

I agree. I think, for the most part, it really doesn't have much value to a charity because Medicare/health insurance will cover a hospital bed when you need one.

You could try contacting Villagers for Veterans. They work hands on with veterans who have special needs. Villagers4Veterans

I have a friend who will be in ReHab for a while and believe a bed likes yours would be a gift from above. I sent you a message with my phone number. Thank's A Million.
