Checking out a village
Any TOTV'er live in Winifred? We are in The Villages this week seriously looking as our home is sold. My top pick so far is in Winifred. We also looked in Sabal Chase, Amelia, and Mallory.

We have a courtyard villa in Winifred. Love, love the location and the neighbors are very nice and welcoming. Access to Buena Vista and all the golf cart trails is so easy. My husband plays tennis on the clay courts that are only available at Glenview and Lopez so that solidified our location since we also liked being south of 466 for newer amenities, LSL, and housing.
Couldn't be happier with our decision but I agree with others ---- you can't go wrong living anyplace in The Villages. BO

Winifred, Summerhill, Bonnybrook, Tall Trees are all GREAT locations. All near 466 and the shopping and restaurant area. You will love a place in any of these. Good luck.

I live in Winifred. And of course I am biased. I believe it is one of the best locations in TV. There is only one automobile entrance, so very little traffic. It butts up against Palmer Golf Course to the east, Laurel Manor to the North, Buena Vista Blvd to the west , andPalmer CC to the south. You have tons of shopping / eateries just up the street on 466, Sumter Landing is just minutes away by golf cart. No train noise, no high school noise. Most of the streets are culdesac so again very little outside traffic. Our block may be a little unique :bigthumbsup: but there are 24 + of us that golf EVERY sunday. We had a memorial day block party at an outside pavillion at Laurel Manor monday. We have a "june birthday party" for everyone on our block with june birthdays at Bonefish Grill tomorrow. Last saturday we had night golf at Saddlebrook exec course. We could not have picked a nicer village or group of neighbors. The "girls" started a book club last night. We literally comment every day how lucky we are to be here in the villages and on our street in Winifred.
You can not go wrong with buying here. Go for it!!!!!!!!!! / jeffy |
