Default Christmas day golf

Quick question (I hope).....are the Championship courses and especially the executive courses open on Christmas day? I thought I remembered free golf on Championship golf courses and the executive courses are free anytime but are they open?. If they all are open on Christmas Day, do I have to use the tee time system or is it first come, first serve, just show up and wait your turn?

Thanks to all and Merry Christmas to all.

I always hated working on Christmas. If you play golf on Christmas, doesn't that mean that other people are forced to work on Christmas?

The courses are manned by volunteers. No starting times are needed. First come first served. This applies to both championship and executive courses. Pretty easy to get on the executive courses. Most championship courses will have a wait, ESP. In the AM.

Haven't golfed on Christmas day yet, but my friends have and they say to be prepared to wait a good while.

I've golfed on executive course on Christmas Day all by myself which I like to do sometime for the peace and solitude. Wouldn't be able to do that on championship courses as I see long cart lines waiting to tee off.
