Yes, some neighbors have decorated already. And I've seen some displays on the center islands.
There is a rule about only having decorations up for 30 days.
But I've noticed a lot of people leave them up a bit longer, until after New Year's Day.
And only Scrooge would complain about that.

Never heard of the 30 day rule. Is it in the deed restrictions of only certain villages?

Clearview Avenue in Calumet Grove. This display which has all the lights and about 10 neighbors lights all timed to music which is also fed into an FM radio frequency so you can hear it as you drive by. A movie is timed in to the music and fake snow is flying by the street. This display started last night and is on Fri/Sat/Sun 7-10 until mid-Dec then every evening. This fabulous display is in it's 10th and final year run. It is worth parking a block away and walking to the main dispaly to take it all in.

It must be different by development unit. I can't find it for deveopment unit 29. Our sub-section 2.15 says: "Aerials, satellite reception dishes, and entennas of any kind are prohibited within the Subdivision to the extent allowed by law."

Do bring some food to drop off on Dunkirk. They give all donations to the food pantry.

There is a great single house display in Kelsey Villas on Hillsborough Trail.
They did a terrific Halloween display, also.

I was quoting for district 6. I could not find in 29 either, unless there was an amendment not shown on district site.

Wow! More than 30 days, that's almost as bad as carts going 21-22 miles per hour.

I heard it was OK as long as one does not decorate before the stores do!
