Take a short drive to Mt. Dora. It's a very quaint town with tons of lights and a big ol' Christmas tree down by the water.

It’s called Light Up Lady Lake, located at the Log Cabin on 27/441.

Venetian Gardens on 44 in Leesburg has a light display and Mt Dora is beautifully decorated for the holidays.

You obviously have never been there. Also, very good restaurants around the Ocala town square if you like getting out of the bubble every now and then.

If the lights are lit by then in Mount Dora you should go both the town center and the Marina by the lake , Beautiful

Completely irrelevant to the OP's question. It was a simple question about tree lighting at the squares...

I concur that the City of Ocala does an excellent job worth decorating the
Downtown Square!

We went to dinner @ Mark's, in Ocala, a few months ago. Just under 30 minutes from Morse and 44...

Ocala: Went to the World Equestrian Center this year to see the Christmas extravaganza (lights, music, food). Paid for parking, otherwise free.
Amazing place. You can smell the money. Some very upscale shopping, but mostly western-themed wear, jewelry, hats, $20000 saddles !

Along Hwy 40 east - west lots of lights.

Downtown square - amazing number of lights up in the trees.

There is another equestrian park near Ocala that advertises Christmas lighting for $ - not so much.
Will try that one this year.

Mt Dora ! Definitely worth the trip. The guy that lights up the marina should get a Best In Show prize.

I would certainly visit all the squares. You will have plenty to do here on a lifestyle visit to keep you busy. When you move here you can visit all the other lighted sites at your leisure. I do not go for the lighting ceremony but always love the see the trees lit. Have a wonderful time.

Just 30 minutes?
I enjoy the decorations. But, being a curious person, I can't help wondering how many accidents happen as a result of distracted driving?
Happy Holidays in advance! 🎅🤶
