My sister is very much disturbed by noises and I have always just tuned them out. She was amazed when we were in school that I could listen to music and do my homework and not be distracted.

All birds chirp. If the chirp at night, males are protecting their territory from other male birds. This is especially true in mating season. As with all wildlife, just deal with it. This is one case where the males make more noise that the females...chuckle chuckle.

See if you can find an alligator that can climb trees.

Default Couldn't resist......

Ronald Saracino in Cape Coral got the surprise of a lifetime recently when he walked out his door and saw this in his yard: an alligator in his tree.

I am a Villager who is staying in Santa Fe and just had the honor to see a band of Bighorn sheep. You are granted the ability to hear the birds; what a gift. Go to bed earlier and try not to be a curmudgeon.

I was thinking along the same lines. There is a condition called hyperacusis when sounds that are tolerated or tuned out by others are highly irritating or on the other end of the spectrum, obsessive to others. I think most of us have a touch of this or that, that in the full blown presentation would be an illness.

Many people are mildly annoyed by other people eating noisy food.

LOL, I'm trying to get birds to my yard with no success. Put a plastic Owl in the tree or Tin Foil Pie Pans in the tree, we did that up north & the birds must not like the shiny tin foil, or the movement or the noise they made when it moved & hit the branches. That would be the cheapest thing to try first! Hand a sign in the tree telling them to come to the Village of Charlotte, LOL.

Talking

You can always try putting a bountiful bird feeder on a nearby Villages tree or a grumpy neighbors. Hey, you might want to check your trees to see if someone stuck one in yours...just sayin'

WINTER oughta do it! Birds can make ya nuts BUT a world without birds would be horrid. Domino effect. Double pane glass in Windows? Sound machine or app on phone or computer. Please reconsider reprogramming aviary behaviors. Sound machine is great for my house. Good luck! Tweet tweet!

I wish you could send them to my house. This is the first year in 10 without mocking birds nesting out back. I miss them!
