Default what to do with a guest

My sister is coming to visit me for two or three days. What can I do with her without buying a guest pass. Can I take her with me to Katie bells on my ID as a guest? Can I take her to the pools as long as I am with her? I Know she can go to the town squares, the movies etc.

Go to a Regional Center and request a Guest ID for your sister. Its easy to do and FREE. She will need the ID to use the pools and attend other activities at the Rec Centers. And yes, you can take her to Katie Belles. I hope you enjoy her visit.

Need a guest pass for the pools, but I've never been asked for ID at Katie Belle's. Think that only applies to the Cattle Baron upstairs. Also a guest pass would get her into the movie theatre at Village prices. Also need ID to go into any rec center.

Your guest will have to have a guest pass to do the things you asked about...Katie Bells, pools any of the amenities. You can take her to the squares for the music, the trolley ride and boat ride. You can do tours on your own of T.V.---there's the shopping and many fine restaurants.

Yes, you can do it in advance, for sure. You do not need her drivers license. They will ask for her address. And they will keep her information on record, so the next time she visits, they have all the information.

Go into a rec center (some rec centers don't do it so ask when you go in) and fill out the paperwork. They ask name, address, age, dates she will be here....you don't need her id but she will need a photo id when she comes. Take the paperwork to the attendants at the desk and they will print out the card. You can do it in advance although they told me not to do it more than a month in advance. And make sure she carries it, along with her photo id, everywhere in TV that she goes just in case. Have fun!

Your guest can use her Guest ID anywhere in The Villages that a resident ID card is used - except a Sports Pool. Those are Resident Only.

Your guest does not need you along to enjoy any events or places that require an ID card.

Her Guest Card is good for 30 days and is renewable. All you need to do is stop at a major rec center - I use Savannah - fill out a form and they give it to you on the spot. You will need her address and phone number. You will also need your ID card.

You do not buy a guest pass. They are free.

You can apply for a Guest ID online, in advance, and specify where you'll pick it up.

I was under the impression that if you (the resident) were always with the guest, the guest would not need a guest pass.

The guest pass is only required if the guest wanted to go someplace on their own where a pass was required.

Am I wrong?

Z, click on the link that Ecuadog posted and you will see this statement:
A Guest ID Card is required for all your guests who are at least 1 year old.

My guests have always had to show their guest IDs at the pools, even when I'm there with them.

Yes, you are wrong. If they check for IDs at the pool and your guest doesn't have one, out she goes. It doesn't matter whether you vouch for her or not. Same deal if a resident forgets their ID and they check, out you go.

In the times I have rented in The Villages using the pools I have been asked a few times for my guest ID and my driver's licenses so I always carry them when I go to the pools. The rec center personnel have always asked me for my guest pass and D/L when I go to rec center. When I have gone to Katie Belle's I just assume I will be asked for my guest pass and D/L, so I always have them ready to show to the person at the front door.

And I usually keep my guest passes for a few weeks after my visit has ended to remember what a great time I had at TV.

Default guest pass

Don't forget to have your guest's birth date as that will be required as well as their address
