Default Clear garbage bags

Silly question it seems, but where does one find clear garbage bags? We are starting our moving process 7/2 and I read you are supposed to use clear bags. I didn't see anything like that here in the Chicago area.

The clear trash bags are for your recyclables. We got ours at Costco. Think Sam's Club has them and I imagine the grocery stores must have smaller boxes of them. We have the totally clear bags, our neighbor has blue tinted see thru bags. Recycling guys pick them up so I will assume they are acceptable.

Walmart, ace, and Publix have clear recycling bags. I use regular 30 gal heavy duty lawn and garden bags for garbage. You also need lawn clipping paper bags for yard waste available most any place here.

We live in Colorado soon to permanent in The Villages, close June 26. We could not find clear bags anywhere in Denver. Went on line and bought from Home Depot, shipped to our home. We can use them for Towels, Linens, Blankets, ECT. for the move then for recyclables.

Ace Hardware has them too. Be careful in Publix. One of their sizes is too small to be convenient. At another store (Home Depot?) the ones we bought are HUGE. Suggest getting the same size you use for garbage.

Thanks everyone. That was helpful. Now we know. I'm sure we would find all this out after we close but we were curious. I am learning so much. I feel TOTV is helpful in so many ways. Here we are in Chicago about to close on a house from here and needing so much info. Thank you.

I bought a 30 gal. plastic garbage can & buy 39 Gal. clear bags @ Wally Mart. Take the small garbage bags from the kitchen into the garage & deposit them in the garbage can; WORKS GREAT! U don't need a BIG 39 gal. garbage can.
