Unhappy Junk Awnings

I sure hope we can get our money back for the awnings that have been installed on the Pickleball and Tennis Courts. The fabric from day one didn't fit them way to loose. Now they are using zip ties to fix the ones that come loose. And today at the Colony Courts I saw where the Tennis Court one had been flipped over to the Pickleball side by the wind. If someone would have been standing on the other side of the fence WOW.

Did you report this observation to anyone?

With the winds we've had for the past few days we're lucky there are any awnings left at all. Most large tennis complexes have to frequently replace awnings due to wind damage. I think the quality of our awnings here is quite good actually.

TV had been having problems with some of the older awnings. About 5 months ago they first had a trial awing on one of the courts to test it out. After a month or so it seemed to be doing well in the wind and they then put up new awnings at the 5 or so courts that needed them. I am assuming that the problem you have seen is at one of the facilities with the older type awnings. I would report any problems you find at any of the rec centers to the rec center personel.

Thank you I will give the number a try. The awnings I am talking about are all brand new. When I saw the first ones go up I noticed that the fabric was very loose fitting on them and would sag in the middle when the rain water would pool on them. As far as the wind goes do you really think we have had strong winds? I think we have had some 30 mph gusts. That is not that windy. I am new here but I would think when a real storm hits the winds will be more damaging than that. I just had awnings installed on my home and the fabric is very taunt and the framework was properly installed. I dont think an awning that totally flips over the top of a fence is properly installed.

I tried the number. She gave me another number to call. And as what I thought would happen that person wanted to give me another number to call. I just told her to feel free to forward the information on but I was done calling numbers.
