I am a volunteer with a local 501c3 charity here in the Villages. This organization has been here in the Villages since May 2012. The organization is Combatveteranstocareers.org, and 96 cents out of every dollar donated goes back to our combat veterans. CVC is located next to the pro shop at Hacienda Hills Country Club. The CEO of the organization is a combat veteran himself. He was wounded in Iraq and started this organization to help combat veterans transition back into civilian life. It is truly an organization that everyone should support. Their philosophy is to help 360 degrees, we help, the veteran by finding him a career he is interested in for his future, help the veterans with their GI benefits, medical appointments, financial counseling, and many other things. I have seen combat veterans join our program and now are independent financially. They have careers and have purchased homes in the area.
