If that were the case, why would they have allowed Brighthouse south of 466a?

I don't know the answer to that question, but from what I'm reading here, Brighthouse is available in limited areas in TV. It might be a case of allowing limited competition which might be seen as not a real threat to Comcast.

Just a thought - I don't know for sure. It's like with the AT&T divestiture in 1984, which I'm a lot more familiar with; there were NUMEROUS very small Long Distance companies which handled very limited traffic in selected areas of the country. None of these companies posed a threat to AT&T or the other large LD companies.

Ditto for DISH Network. I am a satisfied customer. I have Comcast for only Internet.

I switched from Comcast to Direct TV and am very happy. Better picture at half the price. There are no interuptions in service due to weather and the service has been great

Default Brighthouse

Got Brighthouse installed yesterday in Sanibel. Had trouble getting Directv and Clenturylink (Prism) to show up. After 2 weeks of no service, Brighthouse showed up on time and about $30-40 cheaper than the other two. It looks good so far and I hope it works out.

We've had Comcast/Xfinity for five months and while I hate the high price we pay for our bundle (cable, internet and phone), overall I have been very pleased with how they have responded to the few minor issues that have arisen since we began our service.

After hearing numerous horror stories about poor customer service I was prepared for the worst, but so far I have had no interupptions of any of our services, and the couple of times I had to contact customer service (we decided to add a DVR box, needed a digital converter for one of our TVs, and wanted the new free battery backup for our phone/modem) they have been pleasant and extremely efficient--we received the new components each time in less than a week.

I know it has only been five months and things can go downhill in a hurry, but so far we have been extremely pleased. Compared to SKY TV (the dish service we had in our previous residence in Panama), I cannot be happier.
