Citizens Insurance was given the green light to raise their homeowner policy rates by an average of 11.5% by state regulators.

They were presented to the Citizens Board of Governors on Wednesday (September 27) morning in Tallahassee.

Current policyholders will see the increase when they renew over the next 12 months.
