Deans did ours last summer. It is so much easier and safer with the steps. They may not be the cheapest, but did a good job and finished with moulding and painted at the ceiling.

Very important when putting attic stairs in, maintain the fire proofing integrity of the sheetrock--same goes for the people who put garage ,solar powered exhaust fans in-- if a fire starts in your garage--the fan will suck flames into your attic---think before you leap

Tim did our garage attic stairs at the same time as our garage floor epoxy job. Great work on both! Oh, and be sure go with the aluminum stairs, too. Bit higher weight rating, but more I importantly, will endure the high attic temps better than wood. Costs a bit more, but worth it. Good luck!!

We did not put in stairs to the attic. In past homes we found them to be dangerous, not physically but they are an entrance to stored stuff that never reappears. We refer attics as the "black hole".
