Can someone tell me exactly what Community Watch is/does? I see plenty of pickup trucks, SUV's driving around. They occasionally drive down my street and wave if I'm outside. They must have a very large budget with all he vehicles, the light bars on the roof are over $1000 each. Is it a paid position? Are they trained, and if so, what is the extent of their training? Inquiring minds want to know.

They keep a look-out too for 'unusual' activity in neighborhoods. Leave your garage-door open all night---you should receive a call from their office 1st thing the next morning from their office to make sure everything is o.k. Do this enough times and you'll remember, finally, to close it before you go to bed.
"IF" someone complains about a yard (having stuff in it that isn't under the covenance) they may also come and knock on your door to give you a head's up regarding the rules. I, for one, appreciate their presence!! |

The Community Watch drivers do earn a salary, minimum wage, which is $7.67per hour. The regulars work a four day on, four day off, 8 hour per day shift. There are also substitute drivers which fill in where needed.

They will also assist with other problems. for example the water from my sink showed cloudy, i called they got ahold of a water guy /girl and sh was there within hours of my call. also helped with explainng blackouts, etc.
They are a good resource and so I hope they never fall back on their laurels because they can make a difference |

Community Watch is great. One time I left our garage open all night by mistake but around 7 am, they called to ask if this was being done for a purpose. They come around two to three times a night and if something is different from normal, they'll get in touch with you.
