Default It's raining, it's pouring...

It is pouring buckets of rain here in Lake County. It doesn't seem like it will ever let up. We need the rain, I know, but it is coming in under my screens on my carport and lanai! We are getting pounded. Thank God we had our water oak and live oak trimmed yesterday. I'm afraid this storm would bring down limbs.

I'm loving the sound of all this rain coming down ! Just a touch of thunder.

The thunder is rolling here. I love the sound of the rain too. But I can't help wishing I would have had time to take my big area rug off my lanai. I noticed yesterday's rain made the water pour out of the beautiful falls at the lake near the Paradise dog park near the golf cart bridge going to the Mexican Restaurant. Very pretty.

Our Direct TV went off for a short while and then came back. One good thing about rain in Florida...there won't be any mud.

We drove home from St. Augustine tonight and hit the storm about half way home. The rain was amazing and it still is!

Larry,

With Direct TV you can get reception during a heavy rain by making a change in your setup, so that you get regular TV, rather than HD TV. I don't recall the exact process, but it's been discussed in other threads on TV options. Do a little searching and you'll find the explanation of how. It worked for me...no more outages in heavy rains.

We had an angry storm like that last Saturday night. Then a nearly simultaneous lightening strike/ roaring thunderbolt and then zzzzzttttt.

Said zzzztttt turned out to be lightening frying our router and Ethernet port on my computer.

But hey, it didn't zap us! Please stay safe and dry, ok?

Oh, P, I hate when zzzzzttttt happens. The storm is letting up now. @Pooh, I'm glad you made it home safe and sound.

The frogs in the pond are all croaking about the rain, and the pond has expanded two-fold into a lake! Love it!

I don't have HD TV and I always lose reception when it rains.
