Default Drinks at the squares

The wait in Friday at Brownwood for a drink at the 2 bars by the square was about 30 minutes, most were Villagers.

And they announce every night not to bring your own beverages to the square BUT there is no enforcement

How would you know that?

Hard to enforce. Who is going to check my Yeti cup to see if there is rum in my coke?
I am not going to wait 30 minutes in line for a drink.

Popular bands increase the crowds and the lines for drinks, especially during happy hour.

Have seen this several times.

I believe they were asking how PL knew most were Villagers. Some here seem to have a sixth sense that enables them to tell whether someone is a Villager or an outsider or a snowbird. I haven't learned that skill yet.

From someone who was actually there on Friday..
- Yes, it was busy
- Yes, there were lines
- This is common when a popular band is playing
- No, it didn't take 30 minutes to get any of our beers

In my two years in TV, I've never waited much longer than 5 minutes to get a drink at Brownwood. Certainly not more than 10 minutes. Even in snowbird season with Rocky and the Rollers playing.

My sixth sense tells me that anyone standing in line 30 minutes for a drink is not a Villager. In fact, most people standing in line are not Villagers as most Villagers BYOB.

Oh, my sixth sense tells me that anyone willing to wait 30 minutes to save a little money on a drink is most definitely a Villager.

Prob not 30 minutes, but I have waited 15-20 on multiple occasions. Wifey wanted a Bailey's on the rocks and it was $14. Plus tip.

Maybe get more bartenders on busy nights and keep the prices reasonable and people won't BYOB?

Get on line just before 5 so you can get the bogo and the line does go on for awhile

No idea why a single shot of Baileys would be $14. I get a double Malibu with pineapple juice and it's just $11 plus tip. Very generous pours too.

BOGO only applies to draft beer and one Cocktail-of-the-Week. Which is never Bailey's on the rocks. Or anything else I would ever touch as I hate sweet drinks.

No idea, but I won't be doing that again. And Malibu & Baileys have only half the alcohol of standard spirits.
