What's up with the exterior architecture ? It's no Waterfront Inn. Looks like a Velveeta cheese box.

Probably more a showcase like the Brownwood Hotel and Wolfgang Puck which are super nice.

In The Villages video they called it mid-century modern (i.e. - 1950's) and that it was similar to the vibe of future buildings in the Eastport area.

I grew up in the 50's. The predominant new build architecture was projects, barracks, and trailer parks. Reminds me of road trips to Myrtle Beach with my parents.

Based on the new Villages Schools and that in many ways, Villages employees are designing and developing this area for their families, I have no doubt the end result will be first in class and beautiful.

But, RustyP does have a point ;-)

Exactly where is Eastport located? How far south of 44?

about 5 miles south of 44 (1.2mi south of Sawgrass Grove)
