My covenant specifies that "radios, record players, televisions, voices and other sounds are to be on a moderate level from 10pm to one hour before daylight." Doesn't specify days of the week, so I assume it applies every day.

I get the lawn mowers/leaf blowers 4 times a week -- my house, the one in back and those on both sides. Different companies but they all come around 7:30 to 8:00 am. That may be early to some but it's certainly in compliance with "one hour before daylight."

We have an empty home nest to us & has been for 3 1/2 yrs. When ever a mowing crew showed up to mow the weeds it always is a Sunday. I'm just happy that somebody shows up to do something. Keep hoping it will get sold.

Being an annoying VERY early riser, I would be danged pleased that someone was fixing up a home near me that needed it even if it was noisy. I really had the work ethic ingrained into my very being as a kid and still honor it.

Many contractors will come to work on Sunday, as well as holidays.

You may be surprised to hear that a village on Long Island, NY that I moved from in 2013 has a ordinance against any contractor working on Sundays or National holidays. It was a quality of life issue and the residents appreciated it.

I looked at buying that house.when I called the realtor she sent me pictures of what it looked like at its worst and told me someone was there painting over all of mold. I told her they could not do that she said the man doing the work said he does that all the time. I told her the mold would be on the inside of the walls as well. The sheet rock in the whole needs to come down.

I am also curious how you know which house the OP is speaking of?

It is possible to have surface mold and not have mold in wall cavity behind. I am trying to imagine how the mold would not be visible after painting...Interesting that the guy's realtor shared that information with you...possibly you can tell us the realtors contact info as she seems real honest and I would like to use her in the future (possibly others on here would like to use her too).

While I am not a realtor, I would think that black mold would be an item that would have to be listed as a defect, and if remediated, the disclosure form should have that information also. I had a neighbor back up North that had LOTs of medical problems that appear to have been caused by mold.
The current owner and whomever is renovating the house may be in for a nasty lawsuit if this is not disclosed. This does not sound like a good situation.

Don't inspectors come after project is done to sign off. Sounds like the workers have full time job elsewhere and can only come on weekends. Did you check Sumter records to see what the property sold for and who the owners are. If there are no permits and there is a stop work order could you just call the sherif office and report it then you would be helping to fix a wrong

Now that you have gone public with all you know abut this house, are you going to standby and watch some unsuspecting person buy the house? Or are you going to speak up? Maybe to the building inspecter?
