Default Cooler stolen

Just a warning to not leave things in your cart at the squares - we had our cart parked in front of Cody’s last night and had a brand new Coleman 6 pack cooler stolen off the floor in front of our seat with some beverages in it - very disappointed- have never had anything stolen out of our carts before!

That's too bad about you're cooler. You're lucky it wasn't a set of clubs, bag, balls, shoes, rangefinder, driver, putter, the woman had it all itemized and it came to $3600 taken from the Mallory Country Club parking lot back in the spring when she was in the restaurant eating. Fortunately the cops went to Play it Again Sports in Leesburg and found everything where they sold it all for $350. Sellers have to show a driver's license to make a sale, and of course the guy was living in TV with his mother and was arrested.

Many things are stolen out of golf carts, over the years I've even heard of purses being stole while the owner hit balls on the driving range. I've always learned when I have my clubs on my cart, I never park in the car parking lot, it only takes ten seconds to pop a trunk and your clubs are gone. Park in the golf cart lot when available, like most country clubs, at least you won't lose the whole set. I usually have a cable and lock from a bicycle and I put that on my bag if I'm parking my golf cart in an area with cars. The pro shops sell, or were selling, golf clubs security covers with locks.

We use the golf bag covers with cable purchased from a Championship Course pro shop and always lock our clubs and try to park in visible places. Better yet, when we can we bring our clubs home and then go out, but sometimes that doesn’t work. I would rather have someone throw my clubs on the ground and steal my golf cart than steal my clubs and leave the golf cart. I have two sets of clubs that are exact matches, one up North and one in the Villages. It’s great to not have to travel with my sticks. It would be next to impossible to exactly replace either set. Replacing a golf cart is easy, and I am looking for an excuse to get a Quiet Tech. Sorry to the OP about the cooler, that stinks. I expect that the cooler mounted to the fender of our Yamaha will eventually disappear since I always leave it with the cart.

Mrs. KC and I each have the security covers for our bags; they're always locked on every time the cart is out of our sight. I etched our last name on our cart coolers and sand bottles; I have 2 coolers on my new cart and I put 2 heavy duty zip ties on each cooler attached to the basket to help stop thievery.

I know a guy that had his entire bag w/ clubs stolen at Cane Garden last week; golf cart parking was full so he parked in the regular parking lot; was in the restaurant only for a little while.

If people would just do unto others as they would them do to themselves life would be perfect. Such a petty crime that causes so much pain.
