Default Christmas lights

Hello, we are scheduled for a Lifestyle visit starting December 4th. I was wondering if the town squares will likely have Christmas lighting by then? We are looking forward to our visit with great anticipation. Semper Fi

One of them should. If you plan on attending one of the lighting festivals get there a day early to find a parking spot.

If you want to see an awesome Christmas light display in the town square, then drive to Ocala, just 30 minutes north. Their town square is what The Villages should do as it is so beautiful with a billion lights in the live oaks and on the palms and an amazing Christmas tree.

The Lady Lake Chamber of commerce area is much closer than Ocala and they have a beautiful light display. I don't remember exactly where it is located but I do remember it is one or two blocks west of 441.

Here is a sneak peak of the lights.........

Disney also has a nice setup complete with fake snow (if your home sick, LOL).

Default Tree lighting

Usually happens end of Nov in 1 or 2 squares and Dec 1 in the 3rd square , so they should be lit up by the time you come

Ocala is much more than 30 minutes. It also depends on where you will be, of course. But, figure at least an hour from your lifestyle visit, which is probably near Brownwood.

I would be more concerned with the Noise from the Interstate, and the Wet marsh soil. Do yourself a favor and use Due Diligence before you commit to that Southern Area ...I would highly recommend the Sumter Landing area

Not impressive. Except houses. Try leesburg park in 44. Very nice.

The lighting in the squares is OK, but certainly not worth fighting the crowds to see them throw the switch. There are, however, numerous neighborhoods that put together displays that are truly amazing. Each year our neighborhood gets a group of 20 or so carts together, and we do a parade to many of these areas to take in the shows. It makes for a very pleasant evening. Also, the World Equestrian Center in Ocala has a Christmas light display that is quite stunning. There is an entrance fee for that, tho.
