New Costco Opens in The Villages, Florida – Location, Hours, and What to Expect

Costco has officially opened a brand-new warehouse in The Villages, Florida, bringing its famous low prices and bulk shopping experience to the nation’s largest active adult community. The grand opening took place August 5, 2025 with doors opening at 8 a.m. at 675 Tatonka Terrace in the Buffalo Ridge Shopping Plaza, right off County Road 466. The 162,000-square-foot facility includes a 2,000-square-foot liquor store, 700 parking spaces, and a 32-pump Costco gas station offering some of the best fuel prices in the area.

About the New Costco in The Villages
Known for its unbeatable deals on groceries, electronics, household goods, and more, Costco also brings its famous $1.50 hot dog and drink combo back to Florida food courts. The store layout features:
• Pantry staples in bulk – from snacks and frozen meals to oversized bakery items and fresh meats.
• Electronics & seasonal goods – TVs, headphones, patio furniture, sheds, and home décor.
• Kirkland Signature products – Costco’s own brand offering quality at even lower prices.
• Specialty services – Tire center, optical department, hearing aid center, pharmacy, and travel deals.
• Discount gas station – Competitive fuel pricing compared to local stations.

Costco Hours in The Villages
• Monday–Friday: 9 a.m. – 10 p.m.
• Saturday: 9 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.
• Sunday: 9 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Executive Members enjoy early shopping privileges — one hour earlier on weekdays and Sundays, and 30 minutes earlier on Saturdays.

Costco Membership Options
To shop in-store, you’ll need a membership:
• Gold Star: $65/year – includes two cards per household.
• Executive: $130/year – includes all Gold Star benefits plus 2% cashback (up to $1,250 annually), early entry, and a $10 monthly credit for qualifying online orders.
• Business Memberships available for resale purchasing and additional account holders.

Non-members can still:
• Purchase prescriptions at the Costco Pharmacy.
• Get eye exams (but not glasses or contacts).
• Shop online with a 5% surcharge.
• Use a Costco Shop Card (purchased by a member).

The Villages location is also offering special incentives for new members or those whose membership has been inactive for 18 months or more.

Costco Growth in Florida
With this opening, Florida now has 35 Costco locations. The most recent before this was in Stuart, and new stores are in the works for Sanford, Port St. Lucie, Pensacola, and Miami.
