Default Cottage Homes

Does anyone own a cottage style home? I am looking to buy and that style seems to be suitable for my needs. Are there any available in villages near Lake Sumter?

Cottage homes in the area around Sumter Landing were called "ranch homes", when they were built. There are dozens of them for sale at any given time. Here is a link to Lyle Gant's post about floor plans in TV: https://www.talkofthevillages.com/fo...r-plans-56908/

We own a cottage home (Tuckett Inn) and absolutely love it!

Large kitchen...lanai off the kitchen on the side of the house, so the privacy is pretty nice...all three bedrooms are in the back of the house...

There is actually one up for sale with an extended lanai in the Village of Amelia on Balsa Ct.

Good luck with your search!

Cottage homes around Lake Sumter and North were called ranch homes. They are now called cottage homes. There are several new cottage (ranch) style homes added to the list of homes offered.

Go to the Villages homes for sale The Villages - Florida's premier active adult retirement community. Search Resale Homes
You can search by type of home (cottage, ranch) and by village.

You can also go to Lyle Gant's site and use a similar search for MLS listings.

When you find one, if you need a couple of days to make a decision, it'll be gone. Do your homework, and be prepared to move fast.
