Default Colony Patio Villa Storage Cupoards

As we rent our Patio Villa for part of the year, we need to be able to store some personal items when not in TV. Presently, we rent a U-Haul locker but at $40 a month it becomes a bit of an expense.

Has anyone put in an "owners storage cupboard" in their garage? I was thinking above the washer and dryer or on the wall to the right side of the garage door(our garage is on the right).

Biggest items would be 3 sets of golf clubs, otherwise mainly clothes in vacuum storage bags and shoes.

Any other suggestions?

It is not uncommon for homeowners to put a lock on the linen closet door and put their personal belongings in there. If clothes have to hang, that might be a problem, otherwise would probably work. A storage locker or cabinet in the garage is also done quite frequently. Both methods seem to work well but I'd say renters would prefer the homeowner to use space in the garage than take away the linen closet.

I just had a look at pictures of the garage on my computer and there is a space about 7-8ft wide above the washer and dryer where we can put cupboards that will handle most of our clothing etc. I would still have to figure out what to do with the golf clubs, but I may buy a free-standing wadrobe style cupboard for these.

Once we get back to our place after Christmas, I can better size things up.

We have rented a Patio Villa for the last 3 years where the owner has locked the master closet to store their personal belongings. We knew about it up front and it really is no big deal to use the closet in the 2nd bedroom.

I think locking the master closet may be unpopular with some people as it denies them a lot of closet space, although some people tend to travel light.

It may be an option although we would rather not do that.

Certainly not for golf clubs, but for clothes and shoes what about a couple under bed storage totes?
