Given the CDC just revised the rules allowing cruise ships to sail only if 98% of staff and 95% of passengers are immunized

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis who signed an executive order Friday banning the use of Covid-19 passports in the state.

The order prohibits any government entity from issuing vaccine passports and blocks businesses from requiring any such documentation.

Because of the $$ at stake, I'm betting they'll work it out.

Lawsuits will start flying!

Huh? I can think of one reason: They have chosen not to get vaccinated but want to go on a cruise ship. A quick Google will show that apparently there is interest in fake cards. Something better than a cardboard card is needed and is being worked on.

Whatever they come up with we can duplicate pretty easy.

People have volunteered to have their children chipped even before CV. Who knows what will happen in 20 years? Even today, if people were paid $ 300 to get CV shots and then get chipped - you can't tell me that there would be no takers.

I understand your frustration and why you are lashing out. Anyone who makes the choice not to be vaccinated will find there will be limitations to what they can do. This is just the beginning.

Wrong, very very wrong....

Should people who recovered from Covid get vaccinated?

"The general recommendation is to get the vaccine, even if you were previously infected," said Dr. David Thomas, a professor of medicine and director of the infectious diseases division at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Should you get vaccinated if you recovered from Covid? Expert advice

Due to the severe health risks associated with Covid-19 and the fact that reinfection with Covid-19 is possible, you should be vaccinated regardless of whether you already had Covid-19 infection

So you're ok with possibly spreading the virus?

And falsifying an official document?

Hope you like prison......

And in these crazy days, if push comes to shove and my belief is now blocking me from partaking in certain activities?, I’ll just claim I “identify” as being vaccinated.

I will be glad to "respect" someone that did NOT get their vaccine - just at a distance of 100 yards!

This article explains why vaccination provides better immunity than natural infection. This study has not been peer reviewed yet but still provides very interesting information.......

Great SHOT. all it will take is for one person on the ship to have COVID and the whole thing will come to a halt. How many times have you heard of ships having a lot of sick passengers and return to port happens. Fear is driving you to give up your rights to a federal government. what is the survival rate. Not the infection rate! ?

Please explain what freedom we are giving up? I feel I have MORE freedom now to visit with my family and friends who have also been vaccinated. Have not been able to do that for a year.

I won't even go into the benefits of the vaccine. Seems you have closed off your mind to those benefits.

Totally illogical.

DeSantis cut off his nose to spite his face. He is in a pickle now that the CDC has mandated proof of vaccination to board a cruise ship. DeSantis has our economy at stake with his ridiculous EO and impending Florida State law. I surely hope he puts on his thinking cap and gives this some thought about the economic devastation Florida will endure if cruising pulls out of Florida home ports.
